About The Dallas Morning News Charities

Together we are making a difference in the lives of our North Texas neighbors in need.

For nearly four decades, The Dallas Morning News Charities has played a vital role in strengthening the North Texas community, made possible by the unwavering generosity and dedication of Dallas Morning News readers and donors. Throughout the years, we have collaborated with more than 75 nonprofit organizations that are actively engaged in addressing the critical issues of homelessness and hunger. These partner agencies work diligently to provide essential services, ensuring that individuals and families in need have access to both nourishment and safe shelter.

To date, contributions from over 80,000 donors have enabled us to distribute more than $40 million in support of these efforts. This funding has translated into expanded services, enhanced programs, and countless lives improved. In order to maximize the impact of each contribution, The Dallas Morning News underwrites all administrative expenses, thereby ensuring that 100% of tax-deductible donations are directed entirely to our beneficiary organizations.
