Being on the frontlines of fighting homelessness, hunger, poverty, and despair amongst our North Texas neighbors in need is a daily battle for our Dallas Morning News Charities.  They do it, day in and day out because they love our neighbors and want to provide each person with a future filled with hope and dignity.

Interested in being considered a charity partner in The Dallas Morning News Charities? The criteria is as follows: An organization must be a bonafide 501c3 organization with an operating budget under $5 Million and must supply shelter or rental assistant, food, clothing, and other essential services and programs such as financial classes, English classes, and mental health services and so on. The organization must be located in the North Texas area.

Each summer, eligible nonprofits are invited to present to a panel of The Dallas Morning News Charities’ board and representatives from the Communities Foundation of Texas. Particular focus is placed on a nonprofit’s leadership, financial viability, solid collaborations with other nonprofits, and core of services/programs provided to our neighbors in need. For more information, call The Communities Foundation of Texas at 214-346-5546.
